Under the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit Act, created through the passage of House Bill 1934, all Oklahoma families are eligible for refundable tax credits of $5,000 to $7,500 per child to pay for private school tuition and fees. OIA will assist families with applying for the tax credit, but ultimately, the responsibility for gathering documents and submitting a timely application lies with each family.

**3 year olds are not eligible to receive the tax credit. According to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, an eligible student is a resident of Oklahoma and is eligible to enroll in an Oklahoma public school for grades PK4-12th grade. Please note that the child must be 4 years old on or before September 1st of the ensuing year to qualify.

Family Involvement Fee: $150 per family per year (DUE August 1, 2024)
This fee helps to fund family-centered events hosted by OIA.
Application Fee: $150 per student per year (DUE 11-17-23 with Enrollment Packet and $200 Good Faith Deposit)
Semester 1&2 Fees: $550 per student per semester (DUE 8-1-24 & 1-7-25)
This fee includes technology, curriculum, workbooks, textbooks, school supplies, nationally-normed student assessments, and science materials.
Good Faith Deposit
Good Faith Deposit for Individuals Applying for the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit
Because we’ve opened 2024-2025 enrollment very early this year to ensure that families are able to receive an enrollment affidavit and apply for the tax credit, we are not requiring our usual deposit of first and last month tuition. Instead, to hold your child’s spot for the 2024-2025 school year, we are requiring a $200 Good Faith Deposit per student.
The Good Faith Deposit is nonrefundable, however, we will apply this deposit to your tuition and fees for the 2024-2025 school year.
As tax credits are finalized and released, you’ll have a better idea of what you will owe for tuition and fees for the 2024-2025 school year. Regardless of whether or not you receive a tax credit, you must have paid your first/last month deposit and applicable fees by July 20, 2024 to be guaranteed admission to OIA.
Please remit your $200 Good Faith Deposit per student, along with your $150 Application Fee, when you turn in your 2024-2025 Enrollment Application and Contract. You may pay with cash, check, or Venmo. We will be in contact soon about the application period for the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit, opening December 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
